Parallels For Mac Performance
Parallels Desktop 17 has brought a slew of new and improved features to the table, including an astonishingly faster network connection on macOS Big Sur and newer. Parallels state that the latest version will allow M1 Macs to get up to 28 percent better DirectX 11 performance and up to 33 percent quicker start times for Windows 10 on Arm Insider Preview VMs. This comes alongside up to 25 percent faster 2D graphics and up to 6 times speedier OpenGL performance that Parallels states will be coming to Windows VMs on all supported Macs, Intel, and M1 alike. M1 users will also be able to use BitLocker and Secure Boot, thanks to a virtualized TPM.
